Plant Hardiness: Zone 5

Flower: The rosy-pink bell shaped flowers form long racemes that weep from the tips of the stems. Very showy.

Bloom Time: Mid spring. Starting in early April and holding in

Foliage: The new growth is an eye catching deep burgundy red. The color holds well into the summer before maturing to a dark green.

Fruit: A small dry capsule that persists into winter. These should be removed for the best plant growth.

Habit: This compact mounding shrub will usually grow as wide as tall. While it may be slightly upright when young it quickly takes on a rounded habit.

Size: Slow growing but will eventually make 6' x 6' if unsheared.

Sun Exposure: Does best in part shade.

Native Habitat: Japan

Other Features: Deer resisitant.

maroon new growth unlike any other
Andromeda. It is patented but one of
the few plants we feel are worth the
