Description: This is a plant given to me by Peter Tabol many years ago. It has relatively small yellow flowers on a compact Rhododendron. This is a large leaf type Rhododendron but with relatively small leaves for its type and a very compact growing plant. It is quite hardy as it blooms reliably in Peter’s garden in Simsbury which is a very cold spot for Connecticut. Like ‘Long’s Yakusimanum’, I’m not sure of the origin of this plant, but when Peter asked me to name it after his wife who had recently passed away, I was glad to do it. ‘Jenny Tabol’ is an excellent plant, and you should try it if you are looking for a hardy yellow Rhododendron.
