Flower: The double white flower has a slight fragrance and is quite showy.

Bloom Time: April

Foliage: The dark green leaves are 2" to 4" long and evergreen. Older leaves may be cast off in winter.

Fruit: A dry capsule that is not showy.

Habit: An upright rounded evergreen shrub.

Size: 4 to 5 feet tall by 3 to 4 feet wide.

Sun Exposure: Full sun to partial shade.

Native Habitat: None - hybrid

Other Features:

Description: We received our original plant of this from Gus Mehlquist. It's a medium growing, upright plant with relatively small leaves, much smaller than the leaves of our R. carolinianum. It does have a very beautiful double white flower which is quite different from any other rhododendron we grow.
