Plant Hardiness: Zone 5

Flower: White flowers are held on upright panicles.

Bloom Time: Early spring - March into April

Foliage: Lustrous dark green leaves are evergreen.

Fruit: A small dry capsule that persists throughout the season.

Habit: A compact grower that makes a rounded mound.

Size: 3 to 4 feet both wide and tall.

Sun Exposure: Part shade to full sun. Does well as an understory plant.

Native Habitat: Japan and Eastern China

Other Features: Pieris is deer resistant in most areas.

Description: Another of the P. floribunda x P. japonica hybrids, it is very similar to 'Karenoma' but not as good a grower. The plants we have at this point seem quite compact, almost too much so.
